Aurora Belarmino, Principal

Aurora Belarmino is a senior marketing professional with over 20 years experience in the high technology industry. Prior to receiving her MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, Aurora built her consulting and international expertise as a software developer. During her tenure at Hewlett-Packard, Aurora drove efficiency improvements and helped increase revenue while holding a variety of positions in the company’s PC, notebook, and server businesses. As Director of Market Development in HP’s NetServer business, she drove the creation of worldwide market demand for Intel-based servers through a combination of marketing communications, global business development, and effective training. As a product marketing manager in HP’s PC business, she contributed significantly to HP’s increase in market share. And while working for HP’s consumer and commercial notebook business, Aurora drove cost reductions by bringing warranty expenses under control.

Since founding Borealis Consulting in 2003, Aurora has assisted her clients with channel development, marketing communications, worldwide analysis, and portfolio management. Highlights include:

  • Directed entry of IA-64 servers into commercial channel from enterprise channel. Applied commercial channel expertise to re-orient sales tools, communication methods, and order/delivery models.

  • Created strategic model for product portfolio management for PCs and laptops with goal of reducing order turn-around time. Identified causes of product proliferation and developed governance model.

  • Utilized multiple regression analysis to model worldwide effects of certified professionals on channel partner revenue. Created co-marketing initiative resulting in large user group membership increase.

  • Created the “PartnerONE at a Glance” and “PartnerONE Instant Reference Guide” which served as a sales tool and marketing brochure for the commercial and enterprise channel programs.

  • Developed a very affordable demo rental program for channel partners, ISVs & SIs for enterprise storage and server products. Created new business models across multiple organizations.

  • Managed services marketing communications to channel partners. Directed webinars, created marketing campaigns for partners to deliver to customers, developed marketing collateral and enhanced portal.

  • Planned and implemented marketing campaign to promote the online technical and sales resource center. Drove development of worldwide “flash” web advertisement, worldwide webinars and marketing events kit.

Aurora is known by her colleagues for her “no nonsense” ability to deliver results and to energize those around her.
